Ghana's Athletics team is currently in Cote D'Ivoire, diligently preparing for this year's Junior Athletics Championship set to take place at the Stade Felix Houphouët Boigny.
Comprising athletes from various Senior High Schools and athletic clubs, the team is gearing up to compete across a range of events including the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 110m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, High Jump, and relay races.
With high spirits and determination, Team Ghana is confident of delivering a stellar performance and giving their opponents tough competition, aiming to conclude the championship on a high note.
In addition to preparing for the championship, Ghana Athletics is actively engaged in talent identification efforts, particularly within senior high schools. Recently, the leadership of Ghana Athletics held discussions with the Ghana Education Service to explore opportunities for collaboration in athlete development initiatives.
This collaborative effort between Ghana Athletics and the Ghana Education Service underscores the commitment to nurturing young talents and promoting athletics at the grassroots level, with the ultimate goal of achieving success on the international stage.
