“We all know the relevance of football to the nation and the Black Stars have really disappointed many Ghanaians. We have to be factual and face the reality. We have to go back and reflect on the structural crisis of Ghanaian football,” he added.
Mr Ahenkorah recommended that the local league must be strengthened to create opportunities for local players in the national teams.
He also noted the urgent need for the National Sports Authority (NSA) to prioritize the development of younger players and improve on their relations with the state clubs, coaches, and youth programmes.
