The 1999-year group of Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion Senior High School (AMOSA 99) has presented an ultramodern gate to enhance security and upgrade the school's appearance. Valued at GH¢400,000, the legacy project commemorates the group's 25th anniversary and marks their sponsorship of the school's 84th anniversary celebrations.
The newly constructed gate, adorned with yellow, mauve, and black colours, features a sculpture of the school's emblem, a golden eagle, symbolizing pride and excellence. In addition to the gate, the group has undertaken various initiatives, including free medical screenings, renewal of National Health Insurance Scheme membership cards, and refurbishment of the school's kitchen to transition from firewood to gas.
During the commissioning ceremony at the school's 84th-anniversary celebration, Mr Theophilus Teye Ayano, Board Chairman of the AMOSA'99 25th Anniversary commemoration, emphasized the gate's critical role in ensuring the safety of students and staff. He highlighted the group's commitment to addressing the school's infrastructural needs and encouraged future year groups to undertake significant projects.
Mr. Isaac Kofi Dankwa, the Planning Committee Chairman of AMOSA'99 Year Group's 25th anniversary, expressed gratitude to the school and pledged continued support. He emphasized the importance of ensuring uninterrupted teaching and learning at Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion Senior High School, urging alumni to contribute to the school's development.
