Police Leadership pays condolence visit to former President Kufour after wife's passing

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. , led a delegation of police leadership on Friday to pay a courtesy call on Former President John Agyekum at his residence in Peduasi.

This visit was intended to convey condolences to the former president following the recent passing of his wife, Former First Lady Mrs. Theresa .

The late Mrs. Theresa Kufour, who served as a nurse and midwife, passed away at her Peduase Residence on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the age of 87.

She held the role of First Lady from January 1, 2001, to December 31, 2008, during her husband's presidency.

In honor of her memory, the government ordered that all flags be flown at half-mast for one week following her demise.

Additionally, a book of condolence has been made available at the former President's residence for those wishing to express their sympathies.
