Police have begun investigations into the incident which left one other person injured.
A statement issued by the police on Sunday (6 November) said calm has since been restored in the area.
“The police have restored calm at Enchi in the Western North Region after a violent chieftaincy dispute resulted in the death of four people and injury to one other person.
“Security has since been beefed up in the palace, the Enchi township and surrounding communities,” the police statement said.
The police have therefore advised the public to use peaceful and due judicial process in resolving differences in order to avoid such needless deaths.
