He commended the sacrifices and dedication of the management of Echoing Hills Children's Home over the years.
Furthermore, Dr. Bawumia pledged the government's commitment to alleviate the challenges faced by the orphanage, particularly addressing the issue of rent. He announced the government's intention to cover the orphanage's annual rent for the next decade, recognizing the importance of providing stability and support to such facilities.
Madam Felicia Opoku Mensah, the Board Chairperson of Echoing Hills Children's Home, expressed gratitude for the Vice President's donation and highlighted the various challenges confronting the centre. She appealed for continued support from the government and other philanthropic organizations to address these challenges effectively.
Currently, the Echoing Hills Children's Home houses 35 inmates, including street children, missing children, and those who have experienced abuse. The donation and support from Dr. Bawumia and the government aim to improve the well-being and quality of life for these vulnerable individuals.
