Accompanying the re-appointment of Otto Addo as the Head Coach of the Ghana Black Stars, a new backroom staff has been unveiled. Among the notable additions are former Ghana Internationals John Painstil and Fatau Dauda, alongside Joseph Laumann.
Joseph Laumann, possessing a UEFA Pro license, brings a wealth of experience to the team. Having played across various leagues in Cyprus, Germany, and Vietnam, Laumann has also ventured into coaching, with tenures at clubs such as Standard Liege, VfL Bochum, and Barnsley in the English championship.
John Painstil, known for his contributions to Ghana's football legacy, steps into his inaugural coaching role with the Black Stars. With an impressive career spanning Fulham, West Ham United, and appearances in two World Cups, Painstil's 89 caps and his role in securing third place in the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations enrich his coaching profile. Before this appointment, Painstil served as an assistant coach at Kaizer Chiefs and holds a CAF Licence B.
Fatau Dauda, revered for his goalkeeping prowess, joins the staff after a distinguished career representing clubs like Voradep, Okwahu United, AshantiGold, and Orlando Pirates. With 23 appearances for Ghana and participation in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Dauda brings invaluable experience to the team.
