Dr Kwaku Afriyie, the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovations, has donated 20 brand new laptop computers to St Joseph Senior High School, one of the senior high schools in his Constituency.
The Member of Parliament said the donation was to enhance effective teaching and learning of ICT in the school and pledged that all Schools in the Constituency would get computers to facilitate learning among students in the area.
Dr Afriyie, who said this in a speech read for him by Mr Benjamin Oppong, an aide to the Minister, advised the students to take their studies seriously, especially Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, so as to effectively compete with other students.
Madam Josephine Love Apre, the Headmistress of the school, who received the items on behalf of the school, expressed gratitude to the MP for his regular support to the school and appealed to him to use his office to get a school bus to end the reliance on hired ones.
She also called on others, especially old students, to support their alma mater.
