Michael Osei, popularly known as Nana Yaw Osei Tenkorang, a renowned TV host based in Takoradi, has been discovered deceased in his residence.
The morning show host of New Day TV was expected to commence work early on Monday but failed to show up, raising concerns among colleagues and associates when attempts to reach him were unsuccessful.
Upon investigation, it was found that his home gates were secured, yet his repeated phone calls went unanswered. Subsequently, with the help of other residents, his room was accessed, where he was found motionless on his bed. Rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The 35-year-old, known for his extensive experience in the media industry, was a fourth-year Public Relations student at Islamic University and had previously worked with several local media outlets in Koforidua, including Starr TV.
Expressing deep sadness, Kwaku Nkansah Obrempon, a close friend, announced, “With a heavy heart, I announce the sudden demise of our brother and friend, Michael Osei (Nanasei). His lifeless body was found in his room on Monday, February 5, 2024, at his residence in Takoradi. I urge all affected persons to remember the family in prayers as we mourn him.”
Nana Yaw Osei Tenkorang is survived by his wife and two children, residing in Akyem Tafo, Eastern Region.
