The Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF) has recently elected new executives to steer the federation's affairs for the next two years. Mr. Charles Adu Gyamfi, representing the Ghana Progressive Hotels Association, assumes the presidency, with Mr. Kwaku Passah Snr from the Tour Guides Association as the vice-president.
Mr. Ahmed Naamann of Dodi Travel and Tours takes on the role of Treasurer, while Madam Beatrice Naa Ayeley Atsere of the Ghana Traditional Caterers Association serves as the Financial Secretary.
Madam Stella Appenteng, Chairperson of the Election Committee, expressed excitement about the successful election, emphasizing the importance of integrity and teamwork within the federation. She stressed the need for transparency and collaboration among the newly elected executives to propel GHATOF to greater heights.
Outgoing President, Madam Bella Ahu, congratulated the new executive team and urged them to foster strong partnerships with the public sector to advance the tourism industry. She emphasized adherence to the federation's constitution and encouraged inclusivity by bringing all trade associations within the sector on board.
In his acceptance speech, President-elect Mr. Charles Adu Gyamfi expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and his team. He pledged to unify the various trade associations under GHATOF and emphasized the importance of cooperation to achieve common goals.
Mr. Gyamfi outlined plans to engage inactive trade associations and extend invitations to new ones, aiming to strengthen GHATOF's collective impact.
