The victims, identified as Hamdella Jibril (37), Kenyeyiti Meena-Lla Adam (5), and Rafat Huruna (18), tragically lost their lives in the explosion.
The incident occurred when Hamdella Jibril detected a gas leak from their six-kilogram gas cylinder in the kitchen. The incident, which took place on April 10, 2024, initially went unreported to the police, with the affected family proceeding to bury the deceased without notifying authorities. However, on April 19, 2024, an informant alerted the police, prompting an investigation into the tragic event.
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers confirmed the details with three elders of the deceased's family. The report indicated that the deaths occurred over a span of days, with Kenyeyiti Meena passing away on April 11, 2024, followed by Rafat Huruna and Hamdella Jibril on April 17, 2024. The trio was laid to rest without prior notification to law enforcement.
