Ghana boasts of some of Africa’s best international schools established to serve expatriates and the international community. They offer international curricula like International Baccalaureate, International Primary Curriculum, the UK national curriculum, or the US-style model. such international languages as German, French, etc.
1 International Certification
Besides local certification, these international schools have certification and accreditation from international accreditation bodies like the Council of International Schools, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
2 The figures
By way of the current statistics, Ghana’s populations of children below 15 years make up 38% of the country’s total population, and private school enrollment is far more than the government-run public schools. 73.5% of preschool enrollment in Ghana is in private schools, 84% at the basic school level and 58% of senior high school enrollment are in private schools as well.
