St. James Sem. SHS (The Ahoteefoɔ) after a thoroughly impressive performance at the Preliminary Stage contests have proved their point. They are on a quest for the Ultimate at the National Championship and will stop at nothing for the trophy.
The second One-eighth contest at the Saarah-Mensah Auditorium on Sunday 16th October, 2022, was a bout between the Absa Bank Bono-Ahafo Zonal Champions; St. James Sem. SHS, the Absa Bank Eastern Regional Champions; St. Peter’s SHS and Drobo SHS. The contest witnessed yet another displacement of a seeded school. Indeed new histories are being written in this year’s National Championship.
As the contest commenced at the auditorium, St. Peter’s SHS (PERSCO) took an early lead. They were set and determined to advance into the Quarterfinals. St.James Sem. SHS also yearned for a spot in the Quarterfinals and as such hastened and made their way past the PERSCO boys.
It was an interesting final round as St. Peter’s SHS picked up their speed to meet St. James Sem. SHS. Drobo SHS impressively picked up a riddle and answered correctly but clearly couldn’t make the mark to the Quater-finals. In the hopes of retaining their seed, PERSCO sadly lost it to St. James Sem. SHS. For ‘The Ahoteefoɔ’ of the Bono Region, it was not just a quiz but an experience.
The Bono-Ahafo Zonal Champion, St.James Sem. SHS has made headway to the Quarterfinals.
