Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Majority Leader and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, on Friday announced that the House will adjourn sine die on Wednesday, July 27.

The Majority Leader, who made the disclosure on the floor of Parliament when he presented the Business Statement of the House for the fifth week ending Friday, June 24, urged Members of the House to do business expeditiously as possible.

Mr Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu also urged the Committees of Parliament with referrals to expedite work on the same for consideration of the House.

He said in the ensuing week, seven ministers were expected to attend to the House to respond to 61 questions – six urgent and 55 oral questions.

He noted that the Finance Minister was scheduled to attend the House on Wednesday, June 22, to brief it on the expenditure incurred by the Government since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country in 2020.

He said the Leadership of the House was still in collaboration with the Minister responsible for National Security to brief Parliament at a close sitting on matters pertaining to the security of the State, particularly having regard to the recent spate of incipient terrorist attacks within the West African sub-region.

He indicated that the day the briefing was to be made would be communicated to Members during the course of the ensuing week.
