Dr Frank Sedoh, Proprietor of Princefield University College, situated near Adaklu Wumenu on the Ho – Aflao Road has donated 67 modern mono desks to be distributed to three basic schools in the Adaklu Wumenu Electoral Area in the Adaklu District.
The schools are Adaklu Wumenu, Adaklu Wayanu and Adaklu Kpogadzi District Assembly basic schools.
The desks were valued at GH¢ 20,100.
Dr Sedoh said the donation was in response to an appeal made to him by Mr Christopher Galenkui, Assemblyman for the Adaklu Wumenu Electoral Area.
He said it was also part of his social responsibility to promote education, especially in deprived areas of the country.
Dr Sedoh noted that the development of the country should not be left on the shoulders of the government alone but should be a shared responsibility.
Mr Galenkui who received the desks on behalf of the schools was full of praise for Dr Sedoh for his timely response to the appeal he made to him.
He said the desks came at an opportune time as they would help solve the furniture needs of the schools.
Mr Galenkui appealed to other philanthropists and organizations to emulate the shining example of Dr Sedoh.
Mr Elvis Doe Agbeko, headteacher of Adaklu Wayanu D/A Basic School, on behalf of his colleagues, assured that they would supervise their pupils to take good care of the desks to prolong their lifespans.
