A delegation from the Ghana Education Service (GES) has met with the leadership of the National Sports Authority (NSA), led by Professor Peter Twumasi to discuss issues on Inter-Schools Sports competitions in the region.
The GES in collaboration with the NSA has for the past few years used the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for its Inter-Schools Competitions, with the two bodies having issues regarding damages at the stadium by some students.
The GES is yet to organise the Inter-Schools Milo games for 32 Senior High Schools after a long break since 2020 following the ban on sporting activities due to the outbreak of Covid-19.
The two in the meeting had a fruitful discussion on the way forward in solving the issues and were expected to meet again in the coming days to finally make a decision on the organisation of the competition.
According to the Ghana Education Service, there would be a Boys Soccer Competition and an Inter-School Athletics competition in the coming days which they were still putting things in place.
