Mr Felix Ade, an aspiring Oti Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has promised to establish scholarship schemes for the youth in the party across the region to continue their education to higher levels.
He said this during a courtesy call on Nana Kwaku Beyennor ll, Nifahene of Chonke Traditional Area and chief of Dambai, to officially inform him of his intention to lead the NPP youth and to seek his blessings ahead of the May polls.
He said higher education was essential to unlocking the development of any society, and it was appropriate for the region to continue investing in the youth to produce quality human resources to accelerate socio-economic development.
Mr Ade said the region had the potential to be the financial hub, the breadbasket, the industrial and the centre of academic excellence in the country.
Nana Beyennor, on his part, noted that the new region needed bold and fearless leaders to turn her fortunes around.
He said he would remember him in his prayers and requested that Mr Ade always had the people at heart for transformational development.
