Medeama SC's Brands and Marketing Manager, Ebenezer Aidoo, has called on President Nana Akufo-Addo to fulfil his commitment of financial support to the club before their CAF Champions League group phase matches.
President Akufo-Addo pledged GH¢1 million to Medeama after they clinched the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League title and presented their trophy at the Jubilee House.
Despite their historic qualification for the CAF Champions League group stage, the promised funds have not yet been received by Medeama SC.
With the group stage matches scheduled to begin later this month, Aidoo is urging the president to release the funds to assist in their preparations.
“We want to appeal to President Akufo Addo to fulfil his promise to us because we need money to compete and compete well in the CAF Champions League,” Aidoo stated.
Medeama SC is drawn in Group D alongside Al Ahly, Young Africans, and CR Belouizdad. Their campaign kicks off against Al Ahly on November 25 in Cairo.
