The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has issued a clarification regarding the procurement of iPad keyboards for its Board of Directors, stating that management has not yet sanctioned such procurement transactions.
In response to significant backlash following the circulation of a memo from the Board's Information Systems Department requesting approval for the procurement of iPad keyboards, COCOBOD emphasized that no procurement transactions have occurred.
The statement released by COCOBOD on Monday, April 1, explained that the request for iPad keyboards was part of efforts to enhance productivity and collaboration among Board members. It clarified that the management had not sanctioned the procurement of the keyboards.
The initiative stemmed from the Board's adoption of the “CONVENE” App, aimed at reducing the use of paper and stationary during board meetings while enhancing productivity and collaboration among members.
