Electricity Company of Ghana boosts police mobility with motorcycle donation: Ghana News

The Limited (ECG) has handed over 200 motorcycles to the in a bid to enhance police response time to emergencies and crime scenes.

The donation is part of ECG's efforts to strengthen the collaboration between the two institutions and contribute to effective policing in the country.

Speaking at the handing-over ceremony, Mr. Keli Gadzekpo, the Board Chairman of ECG, expressed the company's commitment to supporting the police force.

He announced ECG's intention to increase the donation to a total of 1000 motorcycles, emphasizing the importance of the Police Administration in their operations.

“The value we get from the Police Administration regarding our operations is important, and they have been supportive,” said Mr. Gadzekpo.

He hoped that the donation would significantly contribute to the police's visibility exercise and enhance their ability to combat crime effectively.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. , commended the Management and Board of ECG for their support.

He highlighted the importance of collaboration between the police and other institutions for national development, emphasizing the need to work together to promote peace.

“In the past, we have been working separately, but it is now important to work collaboratively to promote peace for national development,” said Dr. Dampare.
