Discord has emerged among National Democratic Congress () executives in () and regional executives, raising tensions over selecting a venue for the upcoming primaries.

The bone of contention centres around the choice between Odukpongkpehe School Park and Ofaakor DA Basic School.

Constituency executives advocate for the former, while regional executives push for the latter. The preference clash has led to a standoff, with supporters divided between the two locations.

According to information gathered by Adom News' Kofi Adjei, this disagreement has caused a delay in the electoral process, which was scheduled to commence at 7 am.

The venue dispute took an ugly turn on Friday when some party supporters engaged in physical altercations at the constituency office.

Reportedly, followers of aspiring candidate Dina Tetteh expressed their displeasure over a sudden change in the venue, resulting in a brawl that prompted some constituency executives to flee for safety.

The agitated supporters accused the regional chairman, Richard Asiedu, of allegedly favouring Okunnor, the former parliamentary candidate, by altering the agreed-upon venue.

In response to these accusations, Okunnor denied any knowledge of the venue change, asserting her focus on the campaign and expressing confidence in a positive outcome.

The situation escalated to the point where police officers from the Division had to intervene to bring it under control.
