London-based golfer donates equipment to Captain One Golf Society ahead of major championship and kids' tournament: Ghana News

In anticipation of the upcoming seventh major championship and third kids' tournament by the Captain One Golf Society, Mr. Raman Thukral, a London-based businessman and avid golfer, has made a generous donation of golf equipment and shoes.

This contribution is intended to enhance preparations for the tournaments, which are scheduled to take place on January 26, 2024, at the Royal Golf Club in .

In an interview, Mr. Thukral expressed that this act of generosity was made possible with the support of his family, and friends, as well as two golf clubs: Brocket Hall Golf Club and Centurion Golf Club.

“We have seen the profile of Captain One golf club and wanted to help when we were informed that they were trying to source golf equipment to ship to Ghana. We will continue to help with sourcing golf equipment for this charity,” he added.

Mr. Pius Ayeh Appiah, the President and Founder of Captain One Golf Society, conveyed his deep appreciation for the support and assistance provided by the donors. He pledged that the donated items would be utilized for their intended purpose in contributing to the growth of golf in Ghana.

He also took the opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of Mr. Patrick Agbeko, captain of the Akwaaba Golf Society, UK, who played a key role in connecting their team with Mr. Raman.

Mr. Appiah further expressed his anticipation for the two upcoming events in January and encouraged corporate entities to join and support their charity drive, which aims to make golf accessible to all, with a particular focus on children from care and orphanage homes.

The seventh major championship is set to take place from January 27 to 28, 2024, at the Royal Golf Club in , following the third kids' tournament on January 26, 2024.

The golf community eagerly awaits these upcoming events, which promise to be remarkable occasions for golf enthusiasts and children alike.
