The 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2&3 has seen a notable number of candidates falling short of the pass mark, with over 30% of the 20,181 teachers who participated failing to meet the requirements for licensure.
The National Teaching Council (NTC) revealed that out of the total candidates, 9,556, representing 47.4%, did not pass the examination.
The results, officially set to be released on Thursday, December 21, 2023, have sparked concerns within the teaching community.
In a statement issued by the NTC, it was highlighted that 10,625 teachers, constituting 52.6%, successfully passed the exams.
The Council emphasized the significance of this examination in ensuring the quality of educators in the country.
“The National Teaching Council (NTC) is set to release the results of the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2&3 on Thursday, December 21, 2023,” the statement read.
The NTC also outlined the process for candidates to access their results.
The results will be made available on the NTC online portal at exam.ntc.gov.gh.
Candidates can log in using either the unique examination pins provided during registration or their examination index numbers linked to their phone numbers.
The Council urged candidates to print their provisional certificates after checking their results.
