Biakoye District Chief Executive (DCE), Madam Millicent Kabuki Carboo, has donated 100 dual desks to the District Education Directorate for distribution to schools in need.
The desks are intended to support six basic schools in Worawora that were lacking proper furniture.
Madam Carboo highlighted that a total of 1,000 dual desks have been supplied to schools in the district through the District Education Oversight Committee (DEOC).
This accomplishment represents a 17% reduction in the total desk deficit within seven months.
She emphasized the importance of maintaining the desks and urged the beneficiaries to take the necessary steps to ensure their longevity.
Madam Carboo encouraged students to remain focused on their studies and overcome any obstacles that may hinder their educational progress.
Madam Roselyn Kafui Ofori, the District Director of Education, expressed gratitude to the DCE and the Assembly for their support. She acknowledged that the desks would help alleviate the deficit and contribute to the promotion of quality education in the district.
Madam Ofori also praised the DCE for her commitment to education, particularly in advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in the district.
