Ghana Black Stars and West Ham United player Mohammed Kudus secured two prestigious awards at the 48th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards held on Friday night at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The 23-year-old clinched the Sports Personality of the Year and the Foreign-based Footballer of the Year titles.
Kudus successfully defended these awards from the previous edition, triumphing over competitors, particularly James Dadzie for the Sports Personality of the Year accolade.
In addition to Kudus' triumph, Gary Al-Smith, a notable sports journalist from the Multimedia Group, was honoured as the Sports Journalist of the Year during the awards ceremony.
The event, recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements in sports during 2023, celebrated the accomplishments of athletes and personalities who brought pride and honour to the nation.
