Ben Fokuo, Head Coach of the Black Princesses of Ghana has declared that his team is prepared and ready for the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) U-20 Women’s World Cup tournament in Costa Rica this year.
Fokuo, who masterminded Ghana’s qualification to the biennial global showpiece told the GNA Sports on Thursday that, the team had been training intensively for the past three weeks ahead of the tourney billed for 10-28 August in San Jose and Alajuela, Costa Rica.
When asked whether the Black Princesses have had adequate preparations for the competition, he said, “We started camping about three weeks ago and we would be going to Europe as well to fine-tune our preparations.
“For now, we have prepared very well and as you can see in our training here, the girls are ready and prepared.”
According to him, he would strengthen every department of the team from goalkeeping to attack, before moving to Europe to engage in international friendly matches before the World Cup.
Ghana is housed in Group D alongside defending champions, Japan, USA and Netherlands.
