Mrs. Esther Gyebi-Donkor, the General Manager of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at the Ghana Port and Habour Authority (GPHA), encouraged women professionals to utilize their skills to drive the growth and profitability of the Port.
Speaking at a coaching session organized by the Ghana Chapter of the Network of Professional Women in Maritime and Port, West/Central Africa, Mrs Gyebi-Donkor emphasized the importance of building a positive image of the Port through dedication, commitment to duty, and responsible behaviour, both online and offline.
She shared insights from her own journey, highlighting the importance of perseverance, focus, and determination in overcoming challenges and achieving career goals. Mrs. Gyebi-Donkor urged young professionals to embrace self-development, teamwork, and continuous learning to become role models for the next generation of Port workers.
Mr. Peter Bediako, the Director of the Port of Takoradi, encouraged women professionals not to let gender be a barrier to pursuing their dreams and advancing their careers. He urged them to adapt to changing trends and seize opportunities for personal and professional growth.
In recognition of her dedication to the GPHA over the past 30 years, Mrs Esther Gyebi-Donkor was honoured by the Director of Takoradi Port during the event.
