Stanbic Bank, a sponsor of the Sixth Volta Trade and Investment Fair, has praised the organizers for the event's impact and impressive nature.
Madam Malwine Amenu, the Ho Branch Manager of the bank, expressed satisfaction with the fair's outcomes in an interview with the Ghana News Agency.
While noting that the bank registered 40 new customers and 20 referrals during the fair, Madam Amenu mentioned that the figures fell short of their expectations. Comparatively, the bank had registered over 250 new customers at the previous event held at the stadium, and they were hoping for a higher turnout this time.
Madam Amenu emphasized the bank's belief in the development of the Volta Region, stating that the trade and investment fair is a vital tool that can contribute to the region's progress.
The fair, organized by the Association of Ghana Industries, the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, and the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), took place from November 26 to December 10, 2023. It provided a platform for business owners within the region and beyond to market and showcase their products, fostering economic development.
The fair's theme, “Leveraging the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) for Economic Development,” aligns with the AfCFTA's goal of inclusivity and empowerment.
